Summer Stage...or what's left of it!
Central Park SummerStage: I seem to have missed most of this year's summer stage events. Not sure why but being out of town every weekend for the last 3 months (with a few exceptions when i already had other plans in the city) might account for it. A grand celebration of the beginnings of hip-hop. "Before all the hits and headlines, before the bling and bullets, hip-hop was a comparatively naïve scene centered in New York’s South Bronx. Aside from the records themselves, nothing evokes these fantastically vital early years as well as Wild Style. The 1982 film by Charles Ahearn tracks the fortunes of a young graffiti writer as he makes his way from street artist to gallery attraction. This 25th reunion event will include a screening of Wild Style, plus live performances from legendary figures that appeared in the film, such as The Cold Crush Brothers, Grandmaster Caz, Theodore and Busy Bee. Eric Bachmann is popular for his indie rock band "Archers Of Loaf" that produced aa few folk rock albums. "Stark songs performed solo on nylon-stringed acoustic guitar—is some of the most intimate and spare music the singer has ever created. "

Have you ever thought about what the world would be like if it were a Woman's World? I've just completed "The Night the Boys All Vanished" a novel that answers that intriguing question. It combines a suspense story in the present with a future world created by women after all the "Boys" (everyone who is mean, nasty and violent etc.), suddenly disappeared over the course of a single night. I've put so much time and energy into this project (over six years), and feel so passionate about it, because I know with unshakeable knowing that this novel I was privileged to write, will do more than just entertain. It can serve to further empower womankind, and make a significant positive difference in the lives of women and men the world over. I'm contacting you not because I want to submit it as a potential project, but because I just would like powerful, intelligent, women like yourself to know about it, to read it and think about its significance, and to someday make it be our reality.
